Tony Miles
District of Columbia, Associate Securities Commissioner
Tony Miles career includes several decades in federal government service as a senior executive in various departments, including the Department of Energy and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. He also served as Vice President for Legal Affairs at National Public Radio and then as Deputy General Counsel of the National Science Foundation (NSF). At NSF, he worked on a range of matters involving the interface between technology and public policy and was a member of the U.S. delegation to the 1998 World International Property Organization conference on intellectual property rights to databases of scientific information. Tony also served on the faculty at Howard University Law School, teaching courses in the Law of Nonprofit Organizations and Business Organization.

Deborah Dunning
Founder & President, The Green Standard
Deborah Dunning founded The International Design Center for the Environment (later renamed The Green Standard) in 2000 to translate scientifically-robust product performance information into user-friendly format to advance green purchasing and a sustainable world.. Prior to this, she had two successful careers in which she developed skill sets useful to implementing this mission. The first was in exhibition research and development at the Menil Collection in Houston and New York. The second was in community sustainable development as director of the Providence Preservation Society where she led successful public-private initiatives that celebrated that city’s sustainability. As President of The Green Standard, Deborah has directed the following projects: Creation of “The KnowRoom,” an exhibit for EPA; Development of the Green Guides to NeoCon & Greenbuild for Interiors & Sources; the Green Purchasing AP Training and the Environmental Product Declaration System for TGS and its partners.

Leanne Tobias
Principal Malachite LLC, Sustainable Real Estate Consultants
Leanne Tobias is Managing Partner of Malachite LLC, a real estate advisory firm specializing in sustainable or green real estate on a global basis. The firm’s services include assembling and managing green real estate development and management teams; providing green real estate certification and financing support; portfolio management and investment advisory services; and strategy and policy development. She is the lead author of the Urban Land Institute’s book on “Retrofitting Office Buildings to be Green and Energy Efficient.”. Leanne was previously managing director of the Multi-Employer Property Trust, a $3.2 billion commercial real estate equity fund. In addition to her work for private sector clients, Leanne also has consulted on real estate finance issues for the U.S. Treasury Department, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the City of New York...

Jonathan Philips
Managing Director, Anka Funds
Jonathan Philips is a Managing Principal of the Anka Funds and a member of the General Partnership of Cherokee Investment Partners, where he was previously Senior Director. He specializes in investment, strategic and structuring activities. Jonathan has reviewed hundreds of brownfield, distressed and other strategic transactions in addition to participating at senior levels in investor relations and strategy. Through his work identifying, analyzing and executing transactions, he has forged unique partnerships with equity and debt funds, communities, organizations, agencies and officials. Jonathan wrote the federal 2005 Brownfield Revitalization Act, a specialized brownfields exemption program for pension, endowment and foundation pools of capital to invest without incurring Unrelated Business Taxable Income, enacted by Congress and signed by the President in October 2004. He also created the US Conference of Mayors—Cherokee Investment Partners Community Revitalization Initiative, a public-private partnership to fast-track property cleanup and revitalization in cities and towns across America.

Wesley Evans
Executive Vice President, Matrix Technology
Wesley Evans is an Executive-on-Loan to The Green Standard from Matrix Technology Alliance, Inc, where he serves as Executive Vice President with responsibility for sustainable economic development. His areas of specialization include green technology development and social justice programming. Previously, he was President of Evergreen Consulting Services, a company he created after retiring from Herman Miller, Inc. with 23 years of service in Marketing, Distribution, eCommerce and Environmental Business Development. He was the first field based volunteer on Herman Miller’s Environmental Quality Action Team and has spent countless volunteer hours promoting sustainable development in many communities. In this capacity, Wes helped to start and lead two chapters of the U.S. Green Building Council. He was one of the first LEED Accredited Professionals in the country and one of the first Green Purchasing Professionals accredited by The Green Standard. Wes serves on the Advisory Council of the International Green Energy Council.

Rob Watson
ETI Chairman, CEO and Chief Scientist
Rob Watson was a board member of The Green Standard from 2002 to 2007, He played a leading role in its development of science-based and user-friendly tools to evaluate the performance of building products. He served as Founding Chair of this NGO (formerly called the International Design Center for the Environment or IDCE) focused on advancing sustainable production and consumption. Often called the "Founding Father of LEED", Rob served as its national Steering Committee Chairman between 1994 and 2005 during which , LEED became the most widespread and fastest-growing standard by which green buildings are measured worldwide. In 2007, he founded ECOTECH International and its subsidiaries, American SINOTECH and American INDOTECH to meet the fast-growing demand for green building technologies and services in China, India and the U.S. Prior to this, Rob served as Director of International Energy and Green Buildings Programs at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). He has been a pioneer in the field of sustainable development for 20 years, a key leader in green building initiatives around the world.

Rosamund Zander is the primary author of The Art of Possibility a book first published by Harvard Business School Press and then issued in paper in 14 different languages by Penguin Books. Through her writing and leadership coaching, she helps organizations thrive and have far-reaching results. This work extends to co-conducting workshops for CEOs of multi-national companies and heads of state at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. As Chair Emeritus of The Green Standard, Roz continues to provide leadership on the translation of science-based information into language and visuals engaging to all.
