Eva Schmincke Becomes Manager of TGS EPD System

We share with you our excitement that Dr. Eva Schmincke, internationally respected expert in life cycle assessment and environmental product declarations, is becoming Manager of our Environmental Product Declaration System. She will serve in this role while continuing to work as a Senior Consultant with Five Winds International, a leading business consultancy specializing in life cycle assessment.

Eva will build on the excellent work of Paul Firth, our former VP of Technology, who has transitioned to a position at UL Environment as Environmental Scientist. We are delighted that Paul will bring his considerable gifts to an organization like UL that, by this move, is demonstrating their intention to incorporate life cycle assessment into their highly respected and widely used product evaluation processes and programs. We wish him great success in this new position.

In this leadership role, Eva Schmincke will focus on creating mutual recognition with Environmental Product Declaration Systems in Asia and Europe. In this way, she will be able to provide participating manufacturers with an expanded presence in the global marketplace through the use of a key tool in the emerging global product performance information system. To this work, she brings seven years of experience with Five Winds International, a globally respected business consultancy, as well as 25 years of experience in key positions in Germany and Europe.
